Overview

IPG0916 is a monoclonal antibody targeting the C-C chemokine receptor type 6 (CCR6), currently in preclinical development by Nanjing Immunophage Biotech for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. CCR6 is a G protein-coupled receptor predominantly expressed on Th17 cells, regulatory T cells (Tregs), and certain dendritic cells. It plays a pivotal role in the chemotactic migration of these cells to inflammatory sites in response to its ligand, CCL20 (LARC). By binding to CCR6, IPG0916 is designed to block the CCR6-CCL20 axis, thereby inhibiting the recruitment of pathogenic Th17 cells and modulating the inflammatory milieu characteristic of various autoimmune conditions.
