Overview

IPG6620 is a small molecule antagonist of the Lysophosphatidic acid receptor 5 (LPAR5), also known as GPR92, currently in preclinical development by Nanjing Immunophage Biotech. It is being investigated for the treatment of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). LPAR5 is a G protein-coupled receptor that is highly expressed in sensory neurons and has been identified as a key mediator of neuropathic pain signaling. By blocking LPAR5, IPG6620 aims to inhibit the pro-nociceptive pathways activated by lysophosphatidic acid (LPA), thereby reducing the pain and sensory deficits associated with nerve damage caused by cytotoxic chemotherapy agents.
