Overview

IPG7236 is an orally bioavailable small molecule antagonist of the C-C chemokine receptor 8 (CCR8), developed as a novel immunomodulatory and antineoplastic agent. By selectively inhibiting CCR8, which is highly expressed on regulatory T cells (Treg) within the tumor microenvironment, IPG7236 blocks Treg recruitment and suppressive function. This leads to enhanced anti-tumor immune responses by modulating both Treg and cytotoxic CD8+ T cells. Preclinical studies have shown that IPG7236 alone or in combination with PD-1 antibodies significantly suppresses tumor growth in various cancer models. The drug has demonstrated favorable pharmacokinetics, safety profiles, and efficacy in animal models. It is currently being evaluated in phase 1/2 clinical trials for advanced solid tumors[1][2][4][5][6].
