IPH5301 is a CD73-blocking monoclonal antibody developed to target the adenosine immunosuppressive pathway in the tumor microenvironment. CD73 is an extracellular enzyme that degrades adenosine monophosphate (AMP) to adenosine, which suppresses immune responses and promotes tumor growth. By inhibiting both soluble and membrane-bound CD73 activity, IPH5301 reduces the formation of immunosuppressive adenosine, thereby restoring T cell proliferation and enhancing anti-tumor immunity across multiple cancer types. The antibody features a functionally silent Fc domain to minimize unwanted immune activation. It is currently being evaluated in an investigator-sponsored Phase 1 clinical trial (CHANCES) for various solid tumors[8][2][3][4].
