IPH5301 is a monoclonal antibody that targets and blocks CD73, an extracellular enzyme expressed in the tumor microenvironment on both tumor-infiltrating immune cells and stromal cells. CD73 contributes to immunosuppression by degrading adenosine monophosphate (AMP) to adenosine, which inhibits anti-tumor immune responses. By inhibiting CD73, IPH5301 aims to promote anti-tumor immunity across a range of solid tumors. The drug is being developed by Innate Pharma and is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials for use alone or in combination with chemotherapy and trastuzumab in patients with advanced or metastatic HER2-positive cancers[1][2][4][6].
