Overview

IPI-301 is a synthetic cannabidiol-based small molecule therapeutic developed by Isosceles Pharmaceuticals for the management of pain. The drug is delivered via a proprietary transdermal microneedle delivery system, which is designed to provide controlled release and improved bioavailability compared to traditional oral or topical formulations. IPI-301 exerts its analgesic effects by modulating G-protein coupled receptor 55 (GPR55) and transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1) channels, while also impacting adenosine signaling pathways. This multi-target mechanism is intended to provide effective pain relief without the side effects typically associated with opioids or natural cannabis extracts. The drug is currently in late-stage clinical development.
