Drug intelligence / Profile preview
iPLTs-01 is an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived platelet cell therapy being developed by HemaCell Therapeutics (Xue Ji Bio) for the treatment of thrombocytopenia. The therapy utilizes stem cell reprogramming and differentiation technologies to produce functional platelets *in vitro* from iPSCs. These manufactured platelets are intended to be administered to patients to replace or augment platelet function, addressing low platelet counts without the reliance on donor-derived blood products. iPLTs-01 is currently in the preclinical stage of development and is part of a pipeline that includes various blood type-specific and engineered platelet products.
