Drug intelligence / Profile preview
iPLTs-02 is an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived platelet cell therapy developed by HemaCell Therapeutics (also known as Xue Ji Bio). The product is designed to treat thrombocytopenia, a condition characterized by low platelet counts that can lead to impaired blood clotting and increased risk of bleeding. The therapy involves the administration of functional platelets differentiated from iPSCs, offering a potential alternative to traditional donor-derived platelet transfusions. This approach aims to provide a more consistent, scalable, and potentially safer supply of platelets for patients. iPLTs-02 is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
