IPM001 is a neoantigen/tumor-specific antigen sensitized autoimmune cell therapy with immunostimulating and potential antineoplastic activities. It consists of autoimmune cells that have been sensitized to liver cancer neoantigens and tumor-associated antigens (TAAs). The therapy involves collecting a patient's immune cells, sensitizing them to multiple tumor-associated antigens and neoantigens/tumor-specific antigens from liver cancer cells, and then reinfusing these modified cells back into the patient to enhance the immune system's ability to recognize and attack cancer cells specifically. IPM001 is primarily being investigated for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), particularly in patients with progressive disease or those at high risk of recurrence after surgical resection.
