Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IPN-59011 is a novel neurotoxin developed by Ipsen for the treatment of moderate to severe upper facial lines (facial wrinkles). It acts as an antagonist of the acetylcholine receptor (AChR), specifically targeting the nAChR alpha1, beta1, delta, and gamma subunits. The drug was designed to have a longer duration of action compared to currently marketed products for facial wrinkle reduction. Its development reached up to Phase 2 clinical trials but has since been discontinued[1][2][7].
