Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ipomoea cairica ethyl acetate extract is a botanical extract derived from the stems and leaves of *Ipomoea cairica* (commonly known as mile-a-minute vine or morning glory). The extract contains various bioactive phytochemicals, including alkaloids, saponins, phenols, flavonoids, phytosterols, tannins, triterpenoids, and anthraquinones. It has been investigated for its significant antioxidant and antiproliferative activities, particularly against breast cancer cell lines such as MCF-7, MDA-MB-231, and the triple-negative breast cancer line 4T1. Additionally, the ethyl acetate fraction of *Ipomoea cairica* has demonstrated potential antidiabetic activity through the inhibition of alpha-glucosidase and alpha-amylase enzymes.
