Overview
Combination of **ipragliflozin** and **sitagliptin**, used as an oral treatment for type 2 diabetes mellitus. *Ipragliflozin* is a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor that lowers blood glucose by inhibiting renal glucose reabsorption, promoting urinary glucose excretion. *Sitagliptin* is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that increases levels of incretin hormones (such as GLP-1 and GIP), enhancing glucose-dependent insulin secretion and decreasing glucagon secretion.
