Overview
iProb (also known as iPROB®) is a probiotic dietary supplement developed and marketed by ANALLERGO SpA for the management of allergic diseases, such as allergic rhinitis and asthma. The product is a lyophilized powder for oral administration containing a synergistic blend of four bacterial strains: *Lactobacillus acidophilus* LA02, *Lactobacillus delbrueckii* subsp. *bulgaricus* LDB01, *Lactobacillus rhamnosus* LR04, and *Streptococcus thermophilus* FP04. iProb works through probiotic-mediated modulation of the gut microbiome and the host immune system, specifically by shifting the Th1/Th2 balance, reducing the levels of Th2 cytokines (IL-4 and IL-5), and decreasing the activation of eosinophils and basophils. It is designed to be free of lactose, gluten, and egg proteins, making it suitable for patients with food intolerances or allergies.
