Overview

IPS-06010 is a preclinical-stage small molecule drug candidate developed by the South Korean biotechnology company InnoPharmaScreen (IPS). It is being investigated for the treatment of various cancers, specifically solid tumors. IPS-06010 acts as an inhibitor of Ubiquitin-Specific Peptidase 7 (USP7), also known as HAUSP (Herpesvirus-associated ubiquitin-specific protease). USP7 is a deubiquitinating enzyme that plays a critical role in regulating the stability of the p53 tumor suppressor protein by modulating the levels of MDM2, an E3 ubiquitin ligase. By inhibiting USP7, the drug promotes the degradation of MDM2, which in turn leads to the stabilization and activation of p53, inducing cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in cancer cells. IPS-06010 is part of InnoPharmaScreen's oncology pipeline focusing on restoring tumor suppressor function in malignant cells.
