Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IPS-06040 is a small molecule inhibitor developed by InnoPharmaScreen for the treatment of oncology indications, specifically B-cell lymphomas. It targets the protease activity of Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue Lymphoma Translocation Protein 1 (MALT1), a key component of the CBM (CARD11-BCL10-MALT1) complex. MALT1 plays a critical role in mediating signaling from antigen receptors to the NF-κB pathway, which is often constitutively active in malignant B-cells, driving tumor survival and proliferation. By inhibiting MALT1 protease activity, IPS-06040 aims to block downstream NF-κB signaling and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. The drug is currently in preclinical development.
