Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IPS-07004 is a preclinical small molecule drug candidate developed by InnoPharmaScreen for the treatment of various inflammatory diseases, with a primary focus on atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. It acts as an inhibitor of the NF-kappaB (NF-κB) signaling pathway, specifically targeting the IκB kinase (IKK) complex. By inhibiting IKK, IPS-07004 prevents the phosphorylation and subsequent degradation of IκB proteins, thereby sequestering NF-κB in the cytoplasm and suppressing the transcription of pro-inflammatory genes. The compound was discovered using the company's proprietary In-cell Protein-protein interaction Screening (IPS) platform, which identifies molecules that modulate specific protein-protein interactions involved in disease pathology.
