Overview

iPS-NSC refers to induced pluripotent stem cell-derived neural stem cells. These are multipotent cells generated by reprogramming adult somatic cells into induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), which are then differentiated into neural stem cells. iPS-NSCs possess the capacity for self-renewal and can differentiate into various neural cell types, including neurons, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes. They are being investigated for their therapeutic potential in regenerative medicine, particularly for neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's Disease, where the aim is to replace or support damaged neurons and restore neurological function. Allife Medical Science and Technology Co., Ltd. is developing an autologous iPS-NSC therapy for Parkinson's Disease.
