iPSC-CL is an autologous cell therapy product consisting of cardiac lineage cells derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). The therapy involves reprogramming a patient's own somatic cells into iPSCs, then differentiating them into cardiac lineage cells, which are subsequently transplanted back into the patient. This approach is being investigated for treating congenital heart disease and heart failure, with the potential benefit of avoiding immune rejection since the cells originate from the patient's own tissue.
