Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ipsu oral gel is a lipid-based, preservative-free oral gel designed to alleviate pain and promote healing of oral mucositis and ulcers caused by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. It functions by forming a protective mechanical film over the affected oral mucosa, thereby reducing irritation, improving the ability to eat, and facilitating the healing process. The product utilizes Camurus AB's patented FluidCrystal® technology. It was first launched in Europe in 2009 and has since been registered and marketed in various countries, including the US, Europe, Israel, and Japan. It received approval in China in February 2019 and became available in the market in July 2019.
