IPT-002 mRNA Booster is a preclinical-stage mRNA-based immunotherapy being developed by Hervolution Therapeutics. It is designed to target the Human Endogenous Retrovirus-K (HERV-K) antigen, which is often aberrantly expressed in various cancers and certain metabolic conditions. The drug utilizes an mRNA vector to stimulate a robust immune response against HERV-K-expressing cells. It is specifically intended to support repeat dosing or function as part of a prime-boost strategy in conjunction with Hervolution's lead candidate, IPT-001. The program is currently in lead optimization for the treatment of solid tumors and undisclosed metabolic diseases.
