Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination vaccination regimen that includes inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV), fractional dose inactivated poliovirus vaccine (fIPV), and Rotarix (rotavirus vaccine). IPV is administered by injection in the leg or arm to protect against poliomyelitis caused by poliovirus types 1, 2, and 3. fIPV is a one-fifth (0.1 ml) dose of IPV administered intradermally, which has been shown to offer higher immunogenicity compared to one full intramuscular dose of IPV. Rotarix is an oral rotavirus vaccine administered in two doses at ages 6 and 10 weeks to protect against rotavirus gastroenteritis.
