IQGAP1 siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) research reagent designed to silence the expression of the IQ Motif Containing GTPase Activating Protein 1 (IQGAP1) gene. IQGAP1 is a scaffold protein involved in regulating cell signaling, cytoskeleton dynamics, and cell-cell adhesion, and its overexpression is associated with tumor progression, metastasis, and poor prognosis in various cancers, including glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). In preclinical studies, IQGAP1 siRNA has been utilized to inhibit cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in glioma cell lines and to study vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signaling. It is primarily used as a laboratory tool for gene knockdown experiments and is not currently an approved therapeutic agent.
