Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IQP-AO-101 is a proprietary botanical extract derived from the stems of *Asparagus officinalis* (asparagus) that has undergone a specific enzyme treatment. Developed by InQpharm, it is primarily investigated for its sleep-promoting and stress-reducing properties. The extract is believed to function by inducing the expression of heat shock protein 70 (HSP70), a molecular chaperone that protects cells from stress-induced damage and may play a role in regulating sleep-wake cycles. Clinical evidence from randomized, placebo-controlled trials suggests that IQP-AO-101 can improve sleep quality, as measured by the Athens Insomnia Scale (AIS), and enhance daytime performance in individuals with non-organic insomnia or moderate sleep complaints.
