Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IQP-VV-102 is a proprietary composition developed for weight reduction in overweight and obese individuals. It consists of a blend of L-arabinose, a naturally occurring pentose sugar, and grape marc extract. The mechanism of action involves inhibition of intestinal sucrase by L-arabinose, which reduces the hydrolysis of sucrose into glucose and fructose, thereby decreasing glucose absorption in the intestine. This leads to reduced postprandial blood glucose and insulin responses after meals high in starch and sucrose. Clinical studies have shown that IQP-VV-102 can significantly reduce body weight over 12 weeks compared to placebo without serious adverse events[1][2][5]. The product is considered effective for short-term weight management. Developers: InQpharm Group Manufacturers: InQpharm Group
