IqYmune

IqYmune (code name I10E) is a highly purified, ready-to-use, 10% liquid preparation of normal human immunoglobulin (100 mg/mL) for intravenous administration. It is an intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) therapy developed for the treatment of various immune-mediated and neurological disorders. The mechanism of action involves immune modulation, including scavenging and binding complement fragments such as C3b and C4b to block their deposition on target cells and reduce activation of the complement cascade. This results in decreased formation of membrane attack complexes and overall modulation of the immune response. Clinical studies have shown efficacy in preventing serious bacterial infections in patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases (PID), increasing platelet counts in chronic primary immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), and modulating disease activity in conditions like chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP). The pharmacokinetic profile is comparable to other IVIg products, with a mean terminal half-life around 33 days[3][6].
