Ir-Vax (ImmunoRestoration Syringe-Ready Vaccine) is a personalized dendritic cell-based vaccine platform developed by ImmunoRestoration. The therapy involves harvesting a patient's own dendritic cells, which are then activated and loaded with specific antigens—most notably targeting the Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER-2) for breast cancer applications. Once re-administered to the patient, these primed dendritic cells stimulate a robust T-cell-mediated immune response against tumor cells expressing the target antigen. The platform is currently in Phase 2 clinical development for Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS) and invasive breast cancer, with a Phase 3 trial in the planning stages. Additionally, ImmunoRestoration is exploring the Ir-Vax platform for other solid tumors, including glioblastoma, pancreatic cancer, and melanoma, which are in various stages of preclinical and discovery research.
