Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IR103 is an investigational therapeutic vaccine combination consisting of Remune (an inactivated, gp120-depleted HIV-1 immunogen) and Amplivax (a synthetic double-stranded RNA adjuvant). Developed by Immune Response BioPharma, it is designed to stimulate a cell-mediated immune response against HIV-1 in infected individuals, particularly those on antiretroviral therapy (ART). The vaccine aims to enhance HIV-specific immunity, potentially leading to a reduction in viral load and improvements in CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell counts. IR103 has been evaluated in Phase III clinical trials for the treatment of HIV/AIDS.
