IR800 IAB2M is an investigational intraoperative fluorescence imaging agent designed for real-time visualization of prostate cancer during surgical procedures. It consists of a humanized anti-PSMA (Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen) minibody, known as IAB2M, conjugated to the near-infrared (NIR) fluorescent dye IRDye 800CW. The IAB2M minibody is an 80 kDa antibody fragment that targets the extracellular domain of PSMA, a protein frequently overexpressed on the surface of prostate cancer cells. When administered intravenously prior to robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (RARP), the agent enables surgeons to identify tumor margins, extracapsular extension, and pelvic lymph node involvement using NIR imaging platforms. Developed by ImaginAb in collaboration with the University of Oxford, IR800 IAB2M aims to improve surgical precision and oncological outcomes in patients with high-risk prostate cancer.
