Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**IRDye800CW-nimotuzumab** is an investigational near-infrared fluorescence imaging immunoconjugate developed for fluorescence-guided cancer surgery. It consists of the humanized anti-EGFR monoclonal antibody nimotuzumab covalently labeled with the near-infrared fluorescent dye IRDye 800CW. After intravenous administration, the nimotuzumab component binds EGFR on tumor cells, enabling intraoperative near-infrared visualization of EGFR-expressing tissue. The University of Saskatchewan is evaluating the agent in a Phase 1/2 study for image-guided resection of lung cancer.
