Overview

The IRICoR RAF inhibitor is a small-molecule therapeutic candidate currently in development by IRICoR (Institut de Recherche en Immunologie et en Cancérologie). It is designed to target the RAF kinase family, which includes A-RAF, B-RAF, and C-RAF, key components of the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway. This pathway is frequently hyperactivated in various cancers due to mutations in RAS or RAF proteins, leading to uncontrolled cell proliferation and survival. The program focuses on developing next-generation inhibitors that aim to overcome the limitations of first-generation RAF inhibitors, such as paradoxical pathway activation in RAS-mutant cells and the development of acquired resistance. As a project within IRICoR's oncology portfolio, it represents an effort to translate academic research from the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC) into clinical applications for the treatment of solid tumors.
