iridina

Iridina is a brand of ophthalmic products primarily marketed for the relief of eye irritation, redness, burning, excessive tearing, and sensitivity to light. The most common formulation is Iridina Due®, which contains naphazoline nitrate or naphazoline hydrochloride as its active ingredient—a sympathomimetic vasoconstrictor that acts on alpha-adrenergic receptors in ocular arterioles to reduce congestion and redness[1][5][6]. Some variants (such as "Iridina Antistaminico") also contain tonzilamine hydrochloride (an antihistamine) for allergic conjunctivitis[4][8]. Other formulations under the Iridina name include lubricating drops with sodium hyaluronate for dry eyes[7][9]. The primary mechanism of action is vasoconstriction via alpha-adrenergic receptor agonism; antihistaminic action may be present in combination products.
