Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Combination drug consisting of **liposomal irinotecan (HR070803)** and **fluorouracil (5-FU)**, often used with leucovorin, primarily indicated for the treatment of advanced or metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) in patients who have progressed after gemcitabine-based therapies. Liposomal irinotecan is a topoisomerase I inhibitor delivered in a liposome formulation for improved pharmacokinetics and tumor delivery. Fluorouracil is a pyrimidine analog that inhibits thymidylate synthase, disrupting DNA synthesis. When used together, this regimen improves overall survival compared to fluorouracil with leucovorin alone[1][3][5][7].
