Iris Ace

Iris Ace is a multi-ingredient over-the-counter ophthalmic solution developed by Taisho Pharmaceutical, primarily indicated for the relief of eye fatigue, conjunctival congestion (redness), and blurred vision. The formulation utilizes a combination of active agents to address various symptoms of ocular strain: neostigmine methylsulfate acts as an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor to improve the eye's accommodative focus adjustment; tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride serves as an alpha-adrenergic agonist to constrict blood vessels and reduce redness; and chlorpheniramine maleate provides antihistaminic effects to alleviate itching and irritation. Additionally, the product contains metabolic support components such as taurine, potassium L-aspartate, and pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6) to enhance tissue respiration and repair, alongside epsilon-aminocaproic acid which provides anti-inflammatory benefits. It is widely used in Japan to mitigate discomfort caused by prolonged digital screen use and environmental irritants.
