Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Irix is a topical medicinal spray developed and marketed by PannonPharma for the treatment of minor skin injuries, including first-degree burns, sunburns, and insect bites. The active component is an extract derived from rosehip (*Rosa canina*), which is rich in bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, vitamin C, and carotenoids. These constituents contribute to the product's anti-inflammatory properties and its ability to promote epithelialization and skin regeneration. Irix is formulated in an alcoholic solution that provides an immediate cooling sensation upon application, helping to alleviate pain and redness associated with localized skin irritation. It is widely used in the Hungarian market as an over-the-counter remedy for minor thermal and solar skin damage.
