IRL201104 is a first-in-class immunomodulatory peptide developed by Revolo Biotherapeutics (formerly Immune Regulation Limited). Derived from the *Mycobacterium tuberculosis* chaperonin 60.1 (Cpn60.1), the drug is designed to "reset" the immune system to a non-inflammatory state without causing chronic immunosuppression. It has demonstrated the ability to suppress pro-inflammatory T2 cytokines (such as IL-4, IL-5, and IL-13) and reduce neutrophil infiltration in the lungs. IRL201104 is being evaluated in clinical trials for allergic diseases, including seasonal allergic rhinitis and eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), as well as for COVID-19-related acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). It is being developed in multiple formulations, including intravenous, subcutaneous, and sublingual (orally disintegrating tablet) routes.
