Ironest

It is primarily indicated for the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency anemia, particularly in gynecological contexts such as pregnancy and lactation. The formulation typically consists of ferrous ascorbate and folic acid. Ferrous ascorbate is a synthetic chelate of ferrous iron and ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) that offers high elemental iron content with superior bioavailability and lower gastrointestinal side effects compared to traditional iron salts. Folic acid (Vitamin B9) is included to support erythropoiesis, facilitate DNA synthesis, and prevent neural tube defects in the developing fetus.
