Drug intelligence / Profile preview
iRoot BP is a bioceramic root repair material used in endodontic procedures. It's a premixed paste developed for permanent root canal repair and surgical applications. This material is an insoluble, radiopaque, and aluminum-free material based on a calcium silicate composition, which requires the presence of water to set and harden, making it hydrophilic in nature. The material doesn't shrink during setting and demonstrates excellent physical properties. According to the search results, iRoot BP has a composition that includes tricalcium silicate, zirconium oxide, tantalum pentoxide, dicalcium silicate, calcium sulfate, calcium phosphate monobasic, and filler agents. These components can produce calcium silicate hydrogel and hydroxyapatite in the dentinal tubules, which are also present in normal teeth.
