Drug intelligence / Profile preview
iRoot SP is a premixed, ready-to-use injectable white hydraulic cement paste designed for permanent root canal filling and sealing applications. It is a next-generation bioceramic material based on calcium silicate composition and is aluminum-free, radiopaque, insoluble, and hydrophilic. The product sets in the presence of water without shrinking and demonstrates excellent physical properties including high biocompatibility and antibacterial activity. Its primary indications are the permanent obturation of root canals following vital pulp extirpation or removal of infected/necrotic pulp with intracanal dressings. It can be used with single cone or lateral condensation techniques. Clinical studies have shown that it provides outstanding sealing properties, shortens filling time compared to some alternatives (e.g., AH Plus), reduces postoperative pain rates, improves inflammatory response markers (IL-6 and TNF-α), and has a high long-term success rate in endodontic therapy[1][2][4][5].
