Drug intelligence / Profile preview
IRR-401 is an investigational proprietary oral fixed-dose combination of **levocetirizine** and **montelukast** developed by Inflammatory Response Research for COVID-19. Levocetirizine inhibits histamine H1 receptor signaling, while montelukast selectively antagonizes cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1, together suppressing histamine- and leukotriene-mediated inflammatory activity. IRR reported a Phase 1 pilot study in COVID-19-positive patients and proposed subsequent randomized Phase 2 evaluation; the underlying components are separately approved drugs for other indications.
