Overview

Irradiated MMC10-BCSC whole tumor cell vaccine is an experimental preclinical cancer vaccine derived from breast cancer stem-like cells (BCSC) of the mouse mammary carcinoma (MMC) sub-line MMC10. Developed by researchers at The Cleveland Clinic, the vaccine is designed to stimulate an immune response against HER2/neu-positive breast cancer. In preclinical models, vaccination with irradiated MMC10-BCSCs primes CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, which can be harvested and expanded in vitro to mediate the regression of established pulmonary metastases upon adoptive transfer.
