Overview
Iruxol is a topical combination drug used primarily for the enzymatic debridement of necrotic tissue in wounds, burns, and chronic ulcers. It contains two active ingredients: collagenase (specifically clostridiopeptidase A derived from Clostridium histolyticum) and chloramphenicol. Collagenase acts by breaking down collagen in necrotic tissue, facilitating its removal and promoting wound healing. Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that helps prevent or treat local infection at the wound site[1][2][4]. The ointment formulation is applied directly to affected skin areas to aid in cleaning wounds and supporting tissue regeneration.
