Overview

ISB 2001 is a trispecific T cell-engaging antibody designed to target B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and CD38 on multiple myeloma cells while simultaneously engaging CD3 on T cells. By binding to these three targets, ISB 2001 facilitates the formation of an immunological synapse between T cells and tumor cells, leading to targeted cytotoxicity against malignant plasma cells. This approach aims to overcome tumor heterogeneity and resistance mechanisms in relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma by co-targeting two tumor-associated antigens (BCMA and CD38), thereby enhancing anti-tumor potency even when expression levels vary. The drug has demonstrated strong cytotoxic activity in preclinical models and early clinical trials, with a favorable safety profile observed in Phase 1 studies. It is being developed using Ichnos’ BEAT technology platform[1][3][4][5][6][8].
