Overview

ISB 2501 is a preclinical-stage trispecific T-cell engager (TCE) being developed by Glenmark Specialty (a subsidiary of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals) for the treatment of solid tumors. The molecule is engineered using a proprietary multispecific antibody platform (likely the BEAT 2.0 platform) to simultaneously bind to CD3 on T cells and two distinct tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) on cancer cells. This trispecific architecture is designed to facilitate the formation of an immunological synapse between cytotoxic T cells and tumor cells, leading to targeted tumor cell lysis. By targeting two different antigens on the tumor, ISB 2501 aims to improve specificity and potentially overcome tumor heterogeneity or antigen escape mechanisms that can limit the efficacy of bispecific antibodies. As of mid-2024, the specific tumor antigens targeted by ISB 2501 have not been publicly disclosed.
