Overview

ISIS 183750 + carboplatin + paclitaxel is a combination regimen consisting of ISIS 183750 (a second-generation antisense oligonucleotide targeting eukaryotic initiation factor 4E, or eIF4E), carboplatin (a platinum-based DNA cross-linker antineoplastic agent), and paclitaxel (a microtubule-stabilizing antineoplastic agent). ISIS 183750 (also known as ISIS EIF4E Rx) inhibits the production of eIF4E, a potent oncogene often upregulated in cancer. The addition of carboplatin and paclitaxel—standard cytotoxic chemotherapies—aims to enhance anticancer activity, with ongoing investigation into the regimen for solid tumors, especially non-small cell lung cancer in combination therapy contexts[5][7].
