The isoflavone-rich NADES extract of Pueraria lobata is a botanical research compound derived from the roots of the kudzu plant (*Pueraria lobata*) using a green chemistry approach involving natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) and ultrasonic treatment. This extract is characterized by a high concentration of isoflavones, specifically puerarin, daidzein, genistein, and formononetin, along with other polyphenols. In preclinical rat models, the extract has demonstrated potential in reducing the development of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) when administered at a dose of 200 mg/kg. However, it did not show chemopreventive activity against prostate cancer in orthotopic carcinogen-induced models. The extract appears to influence calcium and magnesium balance in serum and prostate tissue, suggesting a complex metabolic effect on mineral homeostasis during prostatic disease progression.
