Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Isologic Pyrophosphate is a radiopharmaceutical "cold kit" developed and distributed by Isologic Innovative Radiopharmaceuticals. The kit contains a non-radioactive pyrophosphate reagent intended for reconstitution and labeling with technetium-99m (Tc-99m) to form Technetium Tc 99m Pyrophosphate. Once labeled, the agent is administered intravenously for diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging. It is primarily utilized in cardiac imaging, specifically for the detection and localization of acute myocardial infarction and the non-invasive diagnosis of transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CA), where the radiopharmaceutical localizes in areas of abnormal calcium metabolism or amyloid deposition. The product is marketed as a room-temperature stable kit, improving accessibility for diagnostic procedures across Canada.
