IsoPet

IsoPet is a veterinary radionuclide therapy developed by Vivos Inc. (formerly Advanced Medical Isotope Corporation) for the treatment of solid tumors in animals, including dogs, cats, and horses. The product utilizes proprietary RadioGel technology, which consists of a thermosensitive, biodegradable polymer (PLGA-g-PEG) hydrogel containing Yttrium-90 (Y-90) microspheres. IsoPet is administered via direct intratumoral injection as a liquid that solidifies at body temperature, effectively sequestering the radioactive isotope within the tumor mass. This Precision Radionuclide Therapy (PRnT) delivers high-dose beta radiation directly to the malignancy to induce DNA damage and cell death while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues. It has been used to treat various tumor types such as mast cell tumors, soft tissue sarcomas, and squamous cell carcinomas.
