Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ISOThrive microFood is a prebiotic supplement developed by ISOThrive Inc. to address gut microbiome dysbiosis. Its active ingredient is maltosyl-isomaltooligosaccharides (MIMO), a proprietary digestion-resistant carbohydrate that acts as a non-digestible soluble fiber. Unlike traditional drugs, it functions by selectively nourishing beneficial bacteria in the gut, specifically aiming to restore gram-positive bacterial predominance at the lower esophageal sphincter. It is being investigated under the therapeutic designation ISOT-101 for gastrointestinal conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C), and functional dyspepsia. It is also commercially available as a dietary supplement for general digestive health.
