Isovue 250

Isovue 250 is a nonionic, water-soluble, iodinated radiographic contrast medium developed by Bracco Diagnostics, Inc. The active ingredient is iopamidol, provided at a concentration of 510 mg per mL, which corresponds to 250 mg of organically bound iodine per mL. As a radiopaque diagnostic agent, it functions by absorbing X-rays, thereby opacifying blood vessels and tissues during imaging procedures such as digital subtraction angiography (DSA), computed tomography (CT), and various forms of arteriography.
