Overview
ISP-002 is an investigational cell therapy being developed by Immusoft for the treatment of mucopolysaccharidosis II (MPS II, also known as Hunter syndrome). The therapy involves engineering a patient's own B cells to express the therapeutic enzyme iduronate 2-sulfatase (IDS), which is deficient in MPS II. These modified B cells are then reintroduced into the patient, where they secrete IDS at therapeutic levels to prevent accumulation of glycosaminoglycans in tissues. ISP-002 is currently in preclinical development, with IND-enabling studies underway and an IND filing expected in late 2025 or early 2026[1][2][3][5].
